ARSENAL transfer target William Saliba could join Man Utd instead.

The youngster's agent, Djibril Niang, shared a picture of himself in Manchester.

Having already been linked with the Red Devils this summer, it looks as though negotiations to sign the defender could be underway.

This would be a disappointment for Arsenal, who desperately want to improve their defence.

ARSENAL 'open talks with PSG over Thomas Meunier' as Unai Emery looks to beat Man Utd to right-back.

Unai Emery is reported to be in talks with the PSG full-back, while the Gunners are set to offer the Paris club £20m for the Belgian.

Competition is wanted for Hector Bellerin, with Stephan Lichtsteiner leaving the club this summer.

ONLY £40M. Arsenal's transfer budget this summer.

After failing to qualify for next season's Champions League, Unai Emery will only have £40m to spend this summer.

There are reports that if he'd met his target, he would've had £100m to spend.

This would've made players like Wilfried Zaha and Samuel Umtiti realistic transfer targets, but these stars will likely be out of reach now.

If the London side fail to improve for next year though, they may fall even further behind their rivals for the top four.

ARSENAL reportedly made a late swoop to try and sign former Aston Villa flop Jordan Veretout.

But the midfielder looks set to snub a move to the Emirates in order to join Napoli.

According to L'Equipe, the Gunners have identified the Frenchman, 26, as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman was allowed to leave for free this summer after his contract expired – he is making the move to Juventus.

Cash-strapped Gunners are likely to have just £40million to spend this summer and it appears Veretout has emerged as a target.

That is despite the French Under-21 international enduring a horror spell at Aston Villa, making 25 league appearances in the relegation campaign of 2015/16.

After a decent loan with Saint-Etienne, Veretout completed his permanent switch away from Villa Park two years ago.
