TOP Tipster Templegate, along with ITV's Matt Chapman, have given us their tips for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
We've also got the latest odds and trends for the race right here.
Who is running in the Queen Anne Stakes?
Who should I bet on in the race?
Templegate – CIRCUS MAXIMUS won the St James’s Palace Stakes at last year’s meeting and can strike again for Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien. That wasn’t his only Group 1 success of the campaign as he landed a gutsy success in the Moulin at Longchamp before a good fourth at the Breeders’ Cup in the States. This is clearly his best distance and he should be helped by the guaranteed speed and he looks the type to improve as a four-year-old.
Matt Chapman – Many will fancy Circus Maximus here, as the St James's Palace Stakes winner tries to land a top straight mile. I have to take him on, and will risk MOHAATHER each-way at a big price. He might prove better at six furlongs later in the season, but I have a feeling he's going to be very good for Marcus Tregoning at some point this term. He looked special in the 2019 QEII.
Trends – CIRCUS MAXIMUS can land his second Royal Ascot success.
Horses aged four and five have held sway so you can cross out plenty on that.
A distance win is an important factor as is having a Group 1 success on your CV – and that’s where a whole host of the field comes up short.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has a good record in the race and Circus Maximus likes the track having won the St James’s Palace Stakes last term.
