As we near the end of the year, party season is fast approaching, and you’re going to want the perfect pair of dancing shoes.
If you’re planning on staying on your feet, opting for a lower heel is the way to go and designers everywhere seem to have gotten the memo that kitten heels are not only chic, but they’re the best choice for comfort too.
Luxury brands have been releasing plenty of pairs of low-heeled shoes recently, including Prada’s Logo Leather Slingback Pumps,£890 here, which not only look fab for your upcoming festive party but will also work with everything from jeans to tailored trousers for work, brunch, and everything in between.
Although they’re guaranteed to be one of the hardest working pairs of shoes in your wardrobe, at almost £900 we won’t be splashing out on them any time soon, which is why shoppers were thrilled to find Marks and Spencer’s affordable alternative.
The Leather Kitten Heel Pointed Slingback Shoes, £45 here, are the perfect budget-friendly dupe for Prada’s luxury pair, and will go with just about everything, with one shopper’s review saying: “Great shoes – go with EVERYTHING. Great kitten heel as broader at the bottom so doesn't get caught in everything. Very comfortable and so pleased with buy.”
With a similar low kitten heel and stretchy slingbacks that make them comfortable and easy to wear, the pointed toe and triangular trim details give them a very similar look to Prada’s much more costly pair.
M&S’Leather Kitten Heel Pointed Slingback Shoes, £45 here, also have antibacterial padding and Insolia technology which redistributes your weight away from the ball of your foot, making them comfortable enough to wear all day long.
Shoppers couldn’t stop raving about how stylish and comfortable the kitten heels are, with one review saying: “Great shoes in a superb colour. Very comfortable for the height and looks far more pricey than the very reasonable cost.”
Another wrote: “These shoes were bought for an all day event and proved to be extremely comfy.”
Whilst a third said: “I bought the silver in size 7. Fantastic silver metallic colour and true to size. Very comfortable to wear all night. Only reason for not getting a 5 was that the silver started scuffing off where the heel attaches to the top of the shoe after only wearing for a few hours at a dinner. Still outstanding value and a very stylish and comfortable shoe.”
The Leather Kitten Heel Pointed Slingback Shoes, £45 here, come in three different colours, with black, silver and tan and cream options available, although the tan pair are currently out of stock.
You can pick up the shoes in sizes 3-8, with half sizes also available. Many reviews recommended sizing up by half a size due to the narrow pointed style, with one saying: “I very much liked the style of this shoe with its kitten heel. Due to the very pointed style of the shoe I found I needed to size up from a 5 to 51/2. The inside of the she is well cushioned and therefore comfortable to wear.”
For another similar style, Dune London’s Patent Bar Block Heel Slingback Shoes, £90 here, are also another perfect designer dupe, looking very similar to Gucci’s Horsebit Slingbacks, £715 here.
