While many fans of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” are still getting to know cast newbie Garcelle Beauvais, the actress has long been a fan of the series, telling Page Six that the SoCal locale and her own natural curiosity led her to join the hit show, now in its 10th season.

“I enjoyed the franchise, and I’m always looking to challenge myself and do new things and I just figured at this point in my life, why not?” she told us. “I also feel like we’re not boxed into being one thing anymore. An entrepreneur, a businesswoman, a producer — I’ve done many different things, so why not give this a shot? It just felt like a good time.”

Save for recent shade tossed between Beauvais and “RHOBH” veteran Kyle Richards, the mother of three has remained a relatively drama-free observer thus far on the show. That didn’t stop her from spilling her own tea, however, as she detailed ex-husband Mike Nilon’s 5-year affair and subsequent divorce during the show’s season premiere.

“That was very uncomfortable,” Beauvais, 53, confessed. “That’s one of the things that, going into the series, I knew I would have to share my life, and I knew that that would come up. It’s not a place that you really want to go back to, mentally, when you’ve done so much work to move away from that. Mike and I have done a great job of co-parenting and getting away from that so that the boys benefit.

“Having to relive something that was really painful in your life, it takes you there and it takes you a moment to shake it off. But I know that’s a part of the process. I’ve always been an open book and I’m not the only woman to be cheated on, so in a way, it’s a way of connecting with other women and showing them they can rise above.”

Even knowing the ugly truth would be exposed, Nilon gave the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star his blessing to appear on the show with their 12-year-old twin sons, Jax and Jaid.

“He was actually supportive. He was nervous because he knew the divorce would come up, but you will see him and me on the show together.”

Beauvais’ oldest son, 28-year-old Oliver Saunders, just so happens to be a new father, making the eternal beauty the new “glam-ma” of a bouncing baby boy.

“It’s super exciting,” she told us of becoming a grandmother in February. “Kids are a blessing, and Oliver is in a great place and so happy — it’s good! I wish I could see him more, of course with quarantine, they don’t live in LA, so that makes it tough, but I can’t wait until I can hold him and coo with him and spoil him!”

But don’t expect the sexy star to bust out the yarn and needles just yet, as she’s currently prepping a new podcast, “Going to Bed With Garcelle,” described as a “fun and flirty late-night podcast featuring no-holds-barred girl talk on sex, life, dating, and relationships.”

The star even revealed that she prefers blindfolds to handcuffs and is the ultimate giver in bed.

“I used to do this thing on Sundays once a month where I’d invite girlfriends over and we’d sit around and gossip and have cocktails, and sex would always come up,” Beauvais said of the origins of the show, premiering May 7. “Other times, I’d invite couples over. The idea really grew organically from those gatherings at my house with friends.”

Those friends could possibly include Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx, whom she says has been a “great friend” and “like a brother” to her since their days on the 1990s sitcom “The Jamie Foxx Show.” She also confirms that she’d be up for an on-screen reunion with the cast.

Coincidentally, the actress most recently reunited with Eddie Murphy for the sequel to 1988 comedy “Coming to America,” telling us it was “awesome” to work with so many familiar faces after so many years.

“We were so happy to be on set together, it was surreal,” she shared.  “It was just like time stood still and we had just done it maybe a few months ago. It was great, everyone was really happy to be there.”

Those familiar with the classic comedy know Beauvais played a royal flower bearer, leading many to wonder just how relevant such a seemingly minor character could be over 30 years later.

“I can’t give anything away, but let’s just say I got promoted.”
