However, there are 40 branches that won’t be launching the deal – including Croydon, Victoria Station and Waterloo Station.

A single Big Mac will be reduced from £3.19 to £2.24 – a saving of 95p – while a milkshake will cost £1.26 instead of £1.79 – a reduction of 53p.

Prices do vary between McDonald’s locations and the deal is only valid from 11am until midnight each day, meaning customers won’t be able to get money off breakfast items.

The discount also won’t work on meal deals or sides or products from the saver menu – such as fries and cheeseburgers.

The savings will be automatically applied to eligible items when customers order food for collection and can be used multiple times.

From this Thursday, McDonald’s lovers will only be able to order food for collection or delivery after the nation goes into a  second coronavirus lockdown.
