DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE fallen for the physiotherapist I’ve been seeing for a frozen shoulder.

But he says I do not need an appointment for another four months.

The thought of not seeing him for so long makes me feel sad.

I have confided in him about my problems. He is so caring and supportive.

He is mid-forties, I guess, while I am a single woman of 49.

I think he knows how I feel but he is out of bounds, as he’s married with a family.

I feel silly about my feelings but can’t help it. I’d love to meet a genuine guy.

DEIDRE SAYS: It is quite common to fall for a caring professional, especially if you feel alone in life.

But ethically, he should not get involved with a client, even if he were not married.

Once things get back to normal, focus more on ways of meeting a caring person who is available.

Often, volunteering leads to making kind-natured friends.
