HUNGRY diners can save dough on £55.25 worth of pizza from Pizza Hut thanks to an offer on online orders.

The fast-food chain is running a meal deal on a feast of food, which includes two large pizzas, two classic sides and a 1.5 litre bottle of fizzy pop, for just £24.99.

The most expensive combination of that amount of food would cost you £55.25 from Pizza Hut so you'll be saving a huge £30.26.

Exactly which pizzas feature in the offer depend on what store you're ordering from, but most diners will be able to choose between margherita, pepperoni feast and vegetable supreme.

Exactly how much you'll save depends on what you order. For example, the most expensive large pizzas, such as the meat feast and the beef sizzler, cost £20.49 each, while the cheapest one is a margherita for £15.99.

"Half and half" pizzas and "make your own with any four toppings" are also included in the deal.

How to save money on pizza

TAKEAWAY pizzas taste great but they can hit you hard on your wallet. Here are some tips on how to save on pizza:

Cashback websites – TopCashback and Quidco will pay you to order your pizza through them. They're paid by retailers for every click that comes to their website from the cashback site, which eventually trickles down to you. So you'll get cashback on orders placed through them.

Discount codes – Check sites like VoucherCodes for any discount codes you can use to get money off your order.

Make your own topping – One savvy customer noticed that Domino's charges up to 70p MORE for pizzas on it's menu compared to ordering the same one through the "create your own" option. It's worth trying out to see if it makes a difference before you place your next order.

Buy it from the shops – Okay, it might not taste exactly the same but you'll save the most money by picking up your favourite pizza from your local supermarket. Some Asda stores sell freshly made ones from the pizza counter where prices start at £2.

Customers can choose between nachos, potato wedges, four pieces of garlic bread or a mixed leaf salad for their side options.

You can upgrade your sides but you'll have to fork out extra – it's another 50p for a side of cheesy garlic bread and another £2 for chicken strips.

Big bottles of Pepsi Diet, Pepsi Max, Tango, 7up Free and Pepsi Max also feature in the deal. Each drink costs up to £2.29 outside of the offer.

If you'd prefer to sip on full-fat Pepsi with your meal another 43p will be added to your bill at the end.

To get the deal, all you need to do is select the offer from Pizz Hut's deals page before placing your order. When you do, the discount will automatically be applied.

The offer is only available on takeaway orders, and can only be applied to both collections and delivery orders depending on your local branch.

There are 697 Pizza Hut restaurants in the UK and more than 150 franchises which means that they can set their own prices, so they may vary between branches.

Pizza Hut hasn't put a deadline on the deal but it might be worth snapping up the offer sooner rather than later.

You can also save cash at Papa John's where you can get £30 worth of pizza for £15.

Last year, we revealed how pizza chains charge up to £4 more for the same meal based on where you live.

Pepperoni pizza fans be warned – Pizza Express has been named as the chain with the lowest amount of toppings per slice, while an investigation found that Domino's and Papa John's are the best value for money.
