Erin Lim wishes she and husband Joshua Rhodes partied a little harder at their secret wedding.
The E! host told Page Six the only thing she would’ve done differently at the couple’s backyard nuptials in January is dance the night away.
“I wish we did a little dance party and raged until late into the night because I think we were kind of just like on the chill side,” Lim said over Zoom on Monday.
“… We were like, ‘Let’s just spend time with our family around the dinner table and play games,’ and, like, ate all night, but if I could do it again we should’ve just gotten our asses off the chairs and started getting crazy.”
Lim and Rhodes plan on having a bigger celebration when the COVID-19 pandemic ends, so she’s counting on getting a do-over.
“That will happen at our rager in the future,” she said, laughing.
“The Rundown” host also revealed the florals at her wedding, which took place in her parents’ backyard and was attended by only her and Rhodes’ families, was inspired by Netflix’s “Bridgerton.”
Enlisting her florist girlfriend who runs Pretty Pure Petals, Lim was able to achieve her regal floral dreams.
“I was literally filming scenes of ‘Bridgerton.’ I was like, ‘I want this waterfall garland. I want flowers like everywhere. I want this big bouquet,’” Lim, 29, recalled to us. “She’s like, ‘Say no more.’”
Lim praised her for finding a “cost-effective way” to realize her vision, which included lemon leaves, carnations and a large “centerpiece garland for the table.”
Lim and Rhodes turned to small businesses for all of their micro-wedding’s needs to give them much-needed support during the trying pandemic. The couple catered the event with their favorite LA barbecue spot Bludso’s, which is black-owned, and a husband-and-wife-operated cocktail business.
“I loved that we also went that route with everything that we used on that day,” she shared. “For all the brides out there my number one thing is just do it stress-free. If it gives you any anxiety or it creates a meltdown, just don’t do it.
“Weddings should be about you and your husband,” she advised. “The union of you two, so don’t make it about everyone else.”
Lim announced her engagement to the Last Adam founder during the 2020 Emmys red carpet after he proposed the previous evening. The couple met in 2018 at their church, but they didn’t start dating until 2019.
