Nothing says Christmas like spreading love and cheer for all to hear…

Well, there is an exception according to this one Brit.

The festive season is upon us which means people are often a little more jolly than usual.

It's the time of year to send cards to neighbours you only nod to when you put the bins out – but this one resident will be missing out on their paper greeting this year.

One homeowner decided to make a homemade sign to wish their neighbours a Merry Christmas – and exclude one particular household.

Stuck on a piece of wood that was placed in the front garden of number 480, in true passive aggressive style, the sign read: "Merry Xmas to one and all except 482."

Looks like they will not be coming round for a mince pie!

A photo of the jibe was posted to Twitter meme account No Context Brits and has now gained thousands of likes.

Impressed with the brutal honesty of the handmade Christmas sign, many people praised the Brit – and some were even inspired by the gaffe.

One person commented: "There is simply nothing to match the brit sense of humour."

Another user chuckled: "Everyone is 482 to me."

While a third voiced: "I need to do this!"

Someone else admitted: "I can very much relate to this."

Meanwhile, a fifth questioned: "What heck did No.482 do?"

Elsewhere, Brits got into a fiery debate over a full English breakfast.

The much-loved fry up got foodies in a quarrel after they were asked what one item they would remove from the iconic dish.

Surprising to some, a lot of people said they would rid of beans over mushrooms.
