EVERY Sunday, our resident Tarotscope reader Kerry King will be revealing what surprises, challenges and excitement awaits you in the week ahead.
Kerry has been practising tarot readings for the last 20 years, starting from reading for friends to amassing an international client list.
Using her strong intuition and deep knowledge and understanding of the horoscope, she is able to provide accurate and encouraging predictions for the coming days.
Here’s her predictions for YOUR star sign…
ARIES (The Fool, The Lovers, Seven of Wands)
This trio of cards could tell a couple of different stories, but the underlying theme is of feeling torn about whether to make a fresh start, or not (as shown by the two “power cards”- The Fool and The Lovers).
It’s a head vs heart thing. And the Seven of Wands reveals that the root cause of your indecision is a fear about the competition or rivalry around what you’re seeking.
You perhaps think you won’t get what you want, or you’ll fail or be rejected, and you are super-sensitive to both of those outcomes.
You have insecurities, like all of us.
This might be a new romance, but someone is not exactly single or has other options.
This might be a new job or opportunity or contract, but you think you’ll be out-bid by another.
This might be a new project or adventure, but you think there won’t be enough resources or space for you to complete it.
Aries, you can do anything you set your heart on. Remember that.
You are ruled by Mars, and its energy makes you fearless, strong and unstoppable.
Go for whatever it is you want.
TAURUS (Three of Swords, Three of Cups, Ace of Cups)
You’re processing and working on feelings of betrayal or hurt or loss, as shown by the tough Three of Swords.
Someone has pained you, and you have absorbed this cut very deeply.
You’re dwelling on what they said, their (perceived by you…) intentions, and your reaction.
You are trying to make sense of it, and to get clear about how you feel now that the dust has settled, and what you’re going
to do next.
This is how you roll, Taurus. You think EVERYTHING through, deeply and thoroughly, at a sub-atomic level!
The Ace and Three of Cups show (SPOILER ALERT) that this reflection will have a happy outcome, believe it or not.
Your relationship will be renewed and strengthened, because you will have learning (not accusatory) conversations about what happened, and what their true intentions actually were.
You will see that they have your best interests at heart. You will realise that life is short, and people are precious.
You will not let this fester, but mend the rift and heal.
Things will be back to normal.
GEMINI (Six of Cups, The Hanged Man, Ten of Swords)
Someone, or something, from your past is holding you back and it’s time to cut those cords once and for all, finally.
The Six of Cups shows this is a person or situation or place that you’ve held great affection for, and once served you well.
It’s not easy to let go of things which have had a place in our
hearts.
The Hanged Man, however, tells that this rose-coloured view of what WAS is actually proving to be a blockage and obstacle against you moving forward towards or recognising what IS.
You are looking backwards too much and, as a result, heading in that direction. Stop.
The Ten of Swords is a brutal card about cutting ties, and severing your connection, fully, to whatever it is that is proving to be draining or distracting.
Too much mental and emotional energy is being invested in something (or someone) that simply isn’t there any longer.
This is over. Accept it, and stop thinking about it, and release yourself from an impossible mental trap.
You don’t have a time machine, and the past is over.
CANCER (The Empress, King of Swords, Ten of Coins)
Security is your paramount priority in life.
You need to feel safe and secure wherever you are, or whomever you’re with.
And the Ten of Coins shows you making plans and changes to address any weaknesses in your boundaries or “safety net”.
You’re checking the store cupboard (maybe even literally) and stocking up on what you need.
You’re ensuring your money is working for you, your bills are organised and under control, your chores and routines are orderly and practical.
The Empress shows how happy and strong this makes you feel.
Home is where your heart is, and it’s critical that you feel your home is as safe and welcoming and sanctuary-like as it can be.
Batten down the hatches and let the grand hibernation begin!
The King of Swords shows that, once you feel everything is in order, your mind can turn to other things.
You are going to activate a planning mode, thinking about what and where you’ll do and go when things are different in the world.
You have a wonderful imagination, and you’re keen to use it
to create things to look forward to.
LEO (The Empress, Justice, King of Cups)
You’re being the bigger person about something which was unfair and possibly unkind, and this is absolutely the right tactic to deploy.
Justice shows that your interpretation of events is correct, and
that, in time, you will be vindicated and shown to be the one in the right.
So, don’t fret over that, it will all come out in the wash.
The Empress and the King of Cups combine to create a shield of loving, warm and protective energy around you right now.
A force field of love. You are such an admired person, and you need to know that others feel any injustices towards you keenly too.
Don’t stir up the flames and start a fire here, but let things simmer down, and show that you are taking it all in your stride.
Instead, focus on investing time and energy with those you love and like.
Pursue simple pleasures- cooking delicious meals, walking in beautiful scenery, playing with animals or children in the family, cosying up by a fire, reading your favourite authors.
The best things in life are free and, when we’ve taken a knock, it’s good to immerse ourselves in those very things.
VIRGO (Temperance, Three of Cups, The Hierophant)
You sometimes struggle to find a healthy balance between work and play.
You have a powerful conscience and a strong work ethic, and you feel guilty if you skip your chores or do the bare minimum on a job you’d actually rather not do at all.
It’s a virtue, but it can be to your detriment when it spirals out of control. Like now.
The Three of Cups (pleasure and fun) is pitted against the stern Hierophant card (duty and commitment).
You are struggling to get the right balance. The good news is that this situation is going to change, as shown by the harmonising, transformative Temperance card.
You feel these pains for a reason: the balance is changing.
And I believe it’s tipping back to the fun side (yay!)
Temperance shows that all change starts within, with our mindset and outlook.
So, don’t expect major action this week, but just a shift in your brain and emotional landscape.
A tipping of the scales towards wanting more pleasure and relaxation, and internal permission to do just that.
And why not. You deserve it.
LIBRA (Six of Wands, The Star, Eight of Cups)
Beautiful cards this week, Libra, so expect to have a wonderful time and a few surprises along the way.
It starts with a slightly sad feeling, however, with the Eight of Cups.
This is a disappointment card, and nudges us to acknowledge that something (or someone) we had our hopes pinned on hasn’t worked out.
It’s okay. It’s all preparation for something (or someone) even better, so don’t cling to this fading star.
Let it go. Better is coming. The Six of Wands is a pat on the back that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be, and success and rewards are on the way.
You did the right thing, you’re on the right path, this was all meant to be.
The Star is the tarot’s wish-come-true card and promises that you can have your heart’s desire right now, if you focus on it with intent and make overt moves in its direction.
So, let something old and fading go this week. Refocus on a new ambition that is bigger and better.
And be led by your best hopes, not worst fears, and feel the magic fairy-dust sprinkling over and all around you as the week
progresses.
Blessings to you!
SCORPIO (The Sun, Two of Cups, The Hanged Man)
A relationship you had given up on springs back into life, in a major way, and you couldn’t be happier!
The Hanged Man shows the mounting frustration and irritation you’ve felt about how this has turned out.
This person was important to you, but events and tensions have conspired to make your bond strained, if not broken.
The Sun and the Two of Cups bring healing, positive energy back, full force, to get things back on track.
You need to remember what they meant to you, why you liked, or loved, them, and that neither of you are perfect in this matter, both of you have likely contributed to the way things are now.
A healing conversation about the role you’ve played, and compassion towards the things which have driven their actions, will bring you closer than ever.
We often make big assumptions about others’ intentions and the truth is that no one knows what really lives in another’s heart.
We have to ask and listen, calmly, and try to understand vs judge or attribute blame.
Get out of the “blame game” and heal this rift, this week.
SAGITTARIUS (Six of Wands, The Star, Eight of Cups)
The sooner you can process a disappointment you’ve endured, but resisted, in 2020 and accept it’s over and done with, the better.
The Eight of Cups reveals that by holding on to this outdated dream you’re blocking new energy and opportunity from entering your world. Why do it to yourself?
The Six of Wands is a reassurance that this all happened for a very good reason, and that you’re where you are meant to be in life.
This setback was merely preparation for something better, so
don’t linger in this disappointing mood. Look ahead.
The Star is the tarot’s wish-come-true card, and promises that if you make an overt step in the direction of a great ambition or dream, you’ll be rewarded.
Take the reins and move things on. Step back from old wounds and stagnated roles.
Look for fresh landscape to grow into. You are ready for a change, and a new surge of positive vibes. Go and seek it!
CAPRICORN (Five of Swords, The Magician, Three of Wands)
A dispute or disgruntlement actually has the power to force you out of your comfort zone and into new territory, and actually this all ends up being a very good thing indeed.
The Five of Swords shows some kind of conflict or resistance or incompatibility, and your very agitated response to it.
Emotions run high, and you are sharp with your words. This whole spat, though, comes to push you away from something you shouldn’t be involved with any longer.
I don’t know if that’s a relationship, friendship, role or commitment, but it’s over (for now).
The Three of Wands and Magician combine forces to bring you a new, surprising and left-field opportunity in the place of whatever it is you’ve felt sour about.
Don’t cry over spilt milk, Cap, because in cleaning it up, you notice other and better things you could be doing with your time and energy.
Out of the ashes rises a new flame! It’s something creative, fast-moving, interesting and inspiring, and right up your street.
This little package has got your name written on it, so be ready to
receive and respond positively.
From a conflict comes a constructive chance!
AQUARIUS (Nine of Coins, Four of Coins, Four of Swords)
Step back, Aquarius, a long way back, and review your situation dispassionately and objectively.
The Fours of Coins and Swords reveal you’ve gotten stuck in a rut and can no longer see the wood for the trees.
Much of your recent behaviour has been conducted on auto-pilot and, as such, you’re sleepwalking into some habits or situations that, consciously, you’d avoid. Press ‘pause’.
The key lens to look at your life through is the long-term one.
The Nine of Coins says that none of this is immediately impacting on you, or urgent, but it is all building up into a “new normal” that you might find hard to shake, down the line, and that you’d actually regret creating.
Think about where you’re heading, think about the consequences of what you’re doing and investing in today.
Think about your big goals. Track back to your daily life and consider how much your energy is going into the right things or people or roles.
Review. Reassess. Reboot.
PISCES (King of Coins, Ten of Wands, Judgment)
You’re giving yourself a hard time, Pisces, as shown by the “workaholic” Ten of Wands and the strong, but demanding and stern, King of Coins.
I think it’s related to work or money, and you’re pushing yourself beyond your usual comfort zone, into something challenging that is not really sustainable.
Admit this to yourself. Acknowledge you can only do a shift’s work in a shift!
Setting impossible targets will only lead you into burn-out, and it’s hard to come back from that place.
Judgment asks you to take a time out, and consider this behaviour.
Look at what’s driven it, what feelings you’re experiencing, what triggers this urge to overdo it, and what role you’ve played in building this up (because then you can unpick how to take it back down again).
Ultimately, you need to set a pace and standard that is achievable long-term, and find that balance in your life between work, rest and play.
It’s not there, right now, so take time to reconfigure the
settings this week. Experiment.
