Pretty pops of pink on the cheeks, eyes, lips and even nose have been racking up hundreds of thousands of hits on social media, thanks to A-list fans like model Hailey Bieber. Shades range from barely there blush to full throttle Barbie. “Strawberry girl beauty is an effortless, fresh and glowing make-up look that focuses on a sheer flush of colour to the skin, using soft tones of pink alongside subtle lip colour – think a healthy, hydrated complexion combined with flattering soft pinks and juicy berry tones,” says Rupert Kingston, creative director of Delilah cosmetics.

Super versatile, strawberry girl beauty is something everyone can try.

To start, all you need is a pink cream blush, although you can play around with pink lip colours and eye make-up too to enhance the look.

After hydrating the skin, cream blush is applied with fingertips to the apples and tops of the cheeks, blending to ensure it looks natural and building up the colour until you’re happy.

“Keep the application sheer and natural, like you’ve just been for a run rather than looking like you have been out in the sun for too long,” says Rupert.

“The goal is fresh and glowy, so make-up should be applied with a light hand – less is definitely more and products should be applied gradually.”

And keep things subtle if your skin has natural redness.

“You may prefer to focus your attention on fresh, glowing skin and hydrated, tinted lips. Avoid the cheeks if you have flushing there already,” he says.

GET THE LOOK

Aimee Connolly, founder of Sculpted By Aimee cosmetics, says:

*Use a hydrating hyaluronic acid serum to ensure skin is dewy before applying colour.

*This is an inexpensive look – one product can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyes, be it a cream blush, cream lipstick or hybrid of the two.

*If using a gloss or lipstick, kiss your finger after applying it to the lips and lightly tap the excess product on to cheeks for the perfect strawberry glow.

*Don’t forget to tap a little pink on the tip of your nose – it’s where skin catches the sun naturally so it brings the look together.
