Natasha Richa Sarin and Vladimir Mukharlyamov were married July 6 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington. Marina Gordon, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life minister for the event, officiated.

The couple met at Harvard, from which the bride received a law degree cum laude and each received a Ph.D. in economics.

Dr. Sarin, 30, is an assistant professor of law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an assistant professor of finance at the Wharton School of Business. She graduated from Yale.

She is the daughter of Seema Sarin and Atulya Sarin of Los Altos Hills, Calif. The bride’s father is a professor of finance at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. Her mother worked in supply chain management for technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area before becoming a stay-at-home parent.

Dr. Mukharlyamov, 31, is an assistant professor of finance at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown. He graduated with highest distinction from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, and received a Masters in Finance and Economics, with first-class honors, from the University of London’s School of Economics.

He is a son of Dr. Leyla Mukharlyamova and Dr. Vladimir Kuzmichev of Moscow. The groom's mother is a doctor of internal medicine in private practice in Moscow. His father is a thoracic surgeon in private practice in Moscow.
