ANY parent will confirm that kids don’t like to share – except that is when it comes to snacks.

And sick of sharing her sweet treats with her daughter, one mum has come up with a genius way to snack behind her back.

The ‘genius’ mum shared a snap of her hack on Facebook, revealing she uses a lettuce leaf to deter her daughter.

She posted a photo of her enjoying an ice cream sandwich that fit perfectly behind the salad, so that her daughter was fooled into thinking she was munching on greens.

Captioning her snap she wrote: “The real reason why I buy lettuce. Hidden in plain sight. She doesn’t even notice me.”

Her post has since gone viral, amassing over 120,000 shares on Facebook from fellow mums eager to try the trick.

Commenting on the post, one wrote: “I honestly need to start doing this. ?”

“Cheat code unlocked” joked another, while a third added, “haha genius!”

Meanwhile others came forward with their own tricks for keeping hold of their snacks.

One commented: “I'm guilty of making vomit noises as I eat yummy things I don't want to share with my 1 and 4 year old. Works a treat.”

When it comes to the ice cream van, another mum suggested, “I tricked the two older boys into telling the two young ones it was a Music truck… I bribe them.”
