ROYAL fans have accused Princess Beatrice of copying Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement shoot.
The Princess of York announced her engagement to multi-millionaire Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi this morning and her mum Sarah Ferguson shared several snaps of the happy couple to mark the occasion.
In one of the black and white photos taken by Misan Harriman at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park the newly engaged couple can be seen snuggling together in a close embrace.
And fans were quick to point out the striking resemblance it bore to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s official engagement photos.
In their engagement shoot, taken by Alexi Lubomirski, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an intimate embrace in the grounds of Frogmore House.
And like Beatrice’s snap. It was also in black and white with the couple posing with their eyes closed.
Fans wasted no time in pointing out the similarities, accusing Beatrice of being a “copycat.”
Taking to Twitter, one said: “I absolutely cannot with this copycat family.”
A second added: “Mighty funny it is suddenly the done thing to take B/W photos after major announcement. Wonder where they got that idea? Hmm?”
A third particularly outraged family added: ““They couldn’t envision a different pose/picture. This is ridiculous and pathetic.”
However, others were quick to praise the couple's "stunning"photo shoot.
Commenting on Instagram one said: "Wonderful photos of their love."
Another agreed adding: "Beautifully captured this treasured moments."
