A MUM has revealed she's planning to wear bikinis on holiday for the first time ever at 41 after shedding 7st.

Laura McCormack, from Renfrew, near Glasgow, always felt self-conscious when she weighed her heaviest at 17st 10lbs.

The mum-of-two used to dress in black from head to toe and cried when she tried to participate in sports day with her kids because she felt so out of shape.

But after joining WeightWatchers and dropping seven dress sizes, Laura is excited to show off her body this summer.

She told the Scottish Sun: "It’s been a wobbly journey because last summer I was just used to covering up everywhere.

"Last summer halfway through my weight loss journey I didn’t know how to dress. I’ve got a younger sister, there’s 18 years between me and her, so I’d be in dressing rooms sending her pictures asking if it was acceptable to wear.

"Yesterday I was walking about and I thought, I can’t believe I’m walking from one end of my town to the other in a playsuit with my legs out. It felt good.

"The other thing was Converse high tops, wearing them with shorts. I never used to dress like that, ever. People at my work said to just go with the flow and wear what I felt good in no matter what age I am.

"I can’t wait to go on holiday this year. I had a big Shein haul come in the other day and it’s amazing. I would never wear bikinis before, it was always swimming costumes. I’m not even taking a costume this year, it’s all bikinis!"

Laura revealed that a lot of Renfrew locals don't even recognise her when she walks down the street, and she has been turning heads after her transformation.

She joked: "My poor husband – we can’t go anywhere without people telling him 'Ronnie, you’re punching now.' I get it everywhere I go."

Her hubby has also praised her for the glow up, cheekily calling her a MILF.

She added: "He’s been really supportive. I’ve been called a MILF. It was my husband, he’s allowed to say that!"
