SINGLE mum Lynsey Saunders was saved from the lockdown blues by her love of vintage clothing.
With nowhere to go and no one to show her latest quirky outfits to she went online and found a virtual audience.
Now she displays her classic looks to her fans on a daily basis on her Instagram page.
But despite winning loads of love for her dress sense she finds her racy videos and photos are a passion killer when it comes to bagging a man.
Lynsey, from Aberdeen, said: “They have really done the opposite of helping me find romance.
“I’ve found that whenever I’ve showed someone I’m dating my social media it’s pretty much scared them off.
“They either find it too much or think I’m a bit vapid. It has not been useful at all.”
Lynsey, 42, has always loved tights and dressing a bit off-beat and not being able to get into high street stores ignited a new passion.
She also wanted to do her bit for the environment by snapping up used clothes instead of brand new stuff.
The mum-of-one now can spend as much as £60 a month on stuff like 80’s style vintage skirt-suits and loud blouses.
It’s a fraction of what she would spend getting the latest looks from high street stores.

Lynsey is also a big fan of berets, tights and what she calls granny chic.
She said: “I like most eras but 80s is my fave and I style most of my looks with a pin up vibe. It’s all a mishmash really.”
Lynsey’s set up Instagram and Tiktok pages to show off her best buys and they’ve been hits.
But she’s been bombarded with attention she doesn’t want from weirdos.
She said: “I get messages that are extremely explicit and relentless. That’s the last thing I want.
“I had one guy get in touch to check that I’d be available to date when he came to Aberdeen. I wasn’t getting a choice in the matter.
“When I said that wasn’t how it worked he told me I should rethink the stuff I’m posting online.”
Lynsey, who has a daughter aged 5, has ventured onto dating apps including Tinder but has not had much luck and matched with the wrong guys.
She’s also found herself having to explain what she’s aiming for with her Insta and Tikok accounts.
Lynsey said: “It does put men off.
“It’s all about fun and fashion and self expression. I don’t see why I should have to apologise for it.
“I’m sure when I find the right person they’ll be perfectly fine with it all.”
But despite some disastrous dating adventures she lives in hope that one day she will find her Prince Charming.

Lynsey added: “I’ve had dates that have just gone nowhere. A lot of effort goes into it.
