WHEN two of your children have birthdays just weeks apart, it can feel like an expensive time.
But one savvy mum managed to save more than £150 on a huge toy haul for her little girls' special days.
Katie Mitchell, 24, showed off her bargain buys on social media – including £100 of Barbie merchandise snapped up for half the price.
Sharing her clip on TikTok (@home_with_katie), the mum of two – from Leven, Fife – said: "I absolutely love a bargain, who does not love a bargain?
"The girls’ birthdays are at the end of the month and start of next month so I thought I’d quickly show you some of the bargains I got."
The 24-year-old revealed she found a Barbie dream car (RRP £30) for just £8.70 in Tesco and two Barbie scooters (RRP £25) for £15 each at Smyths Toy Store.
She also bagged a Cry Babies doll for more than half price – paying just £11.66 for the £35 toy.
Turning to her other bargains, which covered her double bed, Katie added: "My youngest is obsessed with Love Diana so I got these [three toys] for £5 each from The Entertainer. They usually retail for about £15-£17 each.
"These colour reveal dolls, £10 each from Argos. They usually retail for about £20 individually.
"Projector should have been £90 and I got it for £60, can’t complain at that.
"And this [Barbie moped scooter] should have been about £19 and I got it for £12 out of Argos."

With Christmas just around the corner, Katie has also shared her top money-saving tips for any other parents looking to get pick up more gifts within their budget.
She told the Scottish Sun Online: "I use the B&M scanner to scan toys in store as sometimes the price varies from tag.
"Also Tesco don't always disclose sales on their website, a lot of it is indoor so popping in every now and again to have a look.
"I also find sometimes charity shops sell brand new toys not even out packaging too."
She added: "It's all about timing and grabbing a few items here and there.
"Not doing it all in one go definitely helps reduce the costing of it all.
"But I find sometimes towards the end of the month when most of us are skint until the next pay that's when sales on toys happen as well.
"And keep an eye on Facebook bargains page. People often post up where and how much they got something.
"Putting money away each week into my money wallets help towards it."
