BUYING second-hand furniture definitely has its perks – from the low cost to being eco-friendly.

But it's not without its downfalls – as one woman found out the hard way.

Rachel, who posts under the acronym @rachel12187, took to TikTok and shared a video where she explains: "When you get a love seat at the local auction for your kids play room and pull the cushions off when you get home to find…"

She then zooms in to show, much to her horror, 10 mice curled up among the foam.

The post has since racked up 506,000 views and left social media users gobsmacked.

"The thought of bed bugs has me not bringing anything used into my place…" wrote one.

Rachel replied: "Same now! The thought never crossed my mind but then again this never did either."

A second quipped: "Aww…it comes with babies. What a bargain!!!"
