A COUPLE has been slammed for their bizarre traffic light system wedding – calling those wanting to socially distance “moody and nasty.”
Photos from the newlywed’s big day were shared on Reddit showcasing the system they had in place for mingling guests.
Attendees were given the option of wearing either a red, yellow or green wristband depending on how comfortable they feel being around others during the pandemic.
Each of the colours has been named using the lyrics of Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage.
The Savage green wristbands were for guests who are up for “handshakes, hugs and high fives.”
The Classy, Bougie, Ratchett yellow bands were for guests who are willing to have a chat.
But the red wristbands were for “Sassy, Moody, Nasty” guests who chose to keep two metres away at all times – as advised by covid restrictions.
The bride has since tried to flog the wristbands on Facebook marketplace, writing: “We used these at our reception so others could gauge each others level of comfort to others around them.”
But Reddit users were baffled by the “tacky” wristbands, sharing their outrage in the comments.
One wrote: “It blows my mind people are this insensitive about something that is literally killing thousands of people!”
Another added: “Oh, wow. If I see that at a wedding, I’m turning right around and heading home. But then, I am a red so…”
A third agreed, writing: “I hate that people keep saying it’s about “personal choice” and comfort level – it isn’t, that’s not how public health works!!”
In other wedding news, this couple were slammed for getting engaged at a friend's wedding.
And the most "savage" wedding bouquet toss EVER saw a "cringey" guest snatch flowers out of another girl’s hands.
Plus this woman got her dog to pose with her engagement ring and instantly regretted it.
