Taking over Milan’s most iconic landmark, Piazza del Duomo, Moncler gathered a massive star-studded crowd on Sunday, Sept. 25 in honor of its 70th anniversary. Anne Hathaway was among the front row celebrities and was dressed in off-white, similar to the 1,952 models casted for the extravaganza (the number reflecting the year the brand was founded). Hathaway wore a mock-neck sweater top with slits on both sides and a high-waist miniskirt featuring two front pockets and a zipper. Keeping accessories minimal, she opted for the Bulagari Serpenti Tubogas watch and a couple of rings. Her dark, wavy hair was parted in the middle, setting the stage for her soft blush and pink lip.
Hathaway shared an Instagram carousel post recapping the event, which showcased her finishing touches: to protect from the cold, she layered on a brown-and-purple plaid shacket and added black frames with purple lenses. “Thank you very much to @moncler for generously including Adam and I in your 70th anniversary celebration,” she captioned the post. “Major respect to all involved, especially @sadeckwaff for his ingenious choreography and to @virnatoppiofficial for giving one of the most courageous and excellent performances I have ever seen. Congratulations! #Moncler70”
Hathaway was referring to the flawlessly executed performance by the numerous models recruited for the occasion. The brand outfitted the talent in its iconic white Maya puffer ski jacket and matching pants, a black long-sleeved undershirt, white beanie, and combat boots. To add an element of surprise, a ballet dancer took the stage during the show to perform in a white tulle ensemble.
“Last night in Piazza del Duomo, I witnessed the perfect portrait of the future of Moncler. Tradition and innovation, key cornerstones of the brand, were united by the iconic Maya jacket,” Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO of Moncler S.p.A., shared in an official statement. Other stars in attendance included Future, Normani, and Pharrell Williams.
