ONLY Connect viewers all have the same complaint about the BBC quiz show.

The show is hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell and airs every Monday on BBC Two during its run.

It sees two teams of three go head to head to make connections between apparently unconnected things, with patience and lateral thinking being as vital as knowledge.

While most of the teams seem to have the knack for the show, the same can't be said for many of the people watching at home.

Taking to Twitter, one baffled viewer wrote: "is BBC Two on a Monday always Mastermind followed by Only Connect followed by University Challenge? that's uh. a lot of difficult questions in a row."

Another added: "They could split up only connect and university challenge. It’s hard going looking confused for whole hour."

A third tweeted: "Only Connect was 'irritating middle class parent of a schoolfriend who kept a rumtopf and made their own wine' level hard."

Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Unless I'm really tired, tonight's #OnlyConnect is blinking hard – especially for an opening match."

Indeed, Monday night is quite a quiz heavy evening for viewers of BBC Two, with Only Connect airing between Mastermind and University Challenge.

Earlier this month, viewers were distracted by a contestant who stole the show for a peculiar reason.

Locking horns saw Peacocks and Mothers Ruined try and find the missing links between words or phrases across a series of tense rounds.

Those playing along with them at home, however, were soon left too distracted to play, with many taking to Twitter to comment on a contestant's name.

Alongside an array of red love heart emojis, one person penned: "Trying to answer questions on Only Connect, but I can't stop thinking about how much I wish my name was Lizzie Biscuits."

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Lizzie Biscuits has just ousted Thangam Debbonaire as the best name ever on Only Connect."

Only Connect airs Mondays at 8pm on BBC Two.
