Wes Nelson has teased that he will be making a big television comeback later this year following his split from Arabella Chi.

The 22 year old shot to fame on Love Island in 2018 and has appeared on a number of reality shows since.

In 2019, he was named runner-up of Dancing On Ice and formed a band with Zara McDermott, Eyal Booker and Samira Mighty to take part in The X Factor: Celebrity before Christmas.

But he isn't finished with television yet, exclusively telling OK! online he'll be back on screens sooner than we expect.

He said: "There's some potential shows that I could be going on to this year, myself and my manager have been in talks with some really cool casting teams and some really cool shows that you'll all be very aware of but we'll see how this year pans out.

"Music's a huge huge passion of mine and that's what I really want to pursue, that's not to say TV is going down the drain.

"I love TV with the amount of shows I've done now, but music's definitely one of my passions and I just really want to focus on that and absolutely smash it this year and surprise the world," he continued.

Discussing his plans to break into the charts, Wes continued: "I've been in the studio nearly every day since apart from this coronavirus outbreak, pre-coronavirus I was in the studio nearly every day until like four o’clock in the morning.

"I've been in the studio with some really cool names like Lotto Boyz and there's a couple of other people I've been in the studio with but I can't name names.

"But there's some really important producers and some really crazy artists. Music's looking really really good at the moment."

However, he'll be going it solo following the split of his X Factor band No Love Lost in March.

He said: "We were so busy straight after The X Factor with different careers, obviously I can't speak on their parts, but for me personally, I was very busy with different bits of work.

"I'd just created my latest property and stuff like that so I was really hard at work with that and then I think we just spent some time apart from each other when we went into different things.

"I went straight into pantomime which was a massive commitment for me as well because obviously it's nearly three shows a day and there's pre-contractual things.

"I'd signed up for that so I couldn't really just leave The X Factor and go straight into making music with the guys because I had other commitments. We just went into different work paths and never really rekindled it."
