The bizarre feud between TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson and boybander Max George seems set to continue as she takes another swipe after he defended girlfriend Maisie Smith.
The feud began after Ulrika, 55, accused Maisie, 21, of being an attention seeker after she posted a video of herself crying on TikTok with text reading: "You didn't deserve me at all."
In her column in The Sun Ulrika wrote: "She ensured it was a close-up, so we could actually see the very real tears rolling down her face. Very dramatic."
She added that: "It has a whiff of the boy who cried wolf about it" and argued that Maisie had exploited the loyalty and goodwill of her fans "who clearly care deeply about her."
The Wanted star Max, 34, then hit back at Ulrika in defence of his girlfriend, posting a snap to his Instagram story in which he can be seen giving the presenter the middle finger in a mirror selfie.
Max can be seen standing in a lift and placing one foot on the railing in front of him, taking a photo of himself as he holds up his middle singer.
He wrote: "Just for you Ulrika."
And now the former Gladiators presenter has taken a swipe at him, responding via her own Instagram story, where she shared a snap giving him the finger and wrote: "Back atcha @maxgeorge."
She then directed her next The Sun column towards the singer, as she wrote: "I feel honoured I’ve been on your mind, Max George, sufficiently enough for you to flip me the bird on your Instagram story this week. You really are the gift that keeps on giving. It really was very sweet of you."
Ulrika added that she stands by what she said, as do many of her readers, writing that one, who counsels young people, has been in touch with her about the affect posts such as Maisie's can have on youngsters.
She then continued with a reference to Max's previous relationship, writing: "So, it’s nice to know I’ve been on your mind, Max. Despite the fact you already have a girlfriend. Oh, hang on . . . that’s your style, isn’t it?
"Being with one woman and thinking about another. Rumour has it, your ex, Stacey Giggs, knows that."
It comes after Max and Maisie packed on the PDA as they jetted off for a romantic getaway.
"And we're off again," The Wanted star captioned a clip that showed him leaning in for a kiss from Maisie.
Recently Maisie opened up to The Sun, saying that Max really knows her and accepts her for exactly who she is.
The Celebrity SAS star said: "He knows me entirely. There are no feelings that I’ve kept inside, which is a weight off my shoulders.
"It feels amazing to know that when someone loves you they know every bit about you — the good and the bad. That’s what love is really."
