Having collected more than a billion dollars, U2 has emerged as the top-grossing touring artist of the 2010s, according to data from Pollstar.

Pollstar’s box-office records show that the Irish rock band grossed $1.038 billion from selling 9,300,500 tickets to 255 shows.

The Rolling Stones came in second, grossing $929 million, followed by Ed Sheeran (more than $922 million), Taylor Swift (more than $899 million) and Beyoncé (more than $857 million).

Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and Roger Waters complete the Top 10.

“Capturing box-office data is daily fare for Pollstar, and since 2010 we have seen growth in practically every aspect of the live entertainment business,” Pollstar said in its report.

Average ticket prices have risen 38 percent since 2010, while an average gross per show increased by 87 percent over the past ten years, the touring trade publication noted.

The O2 Arena in London, where 15,579,691 tickets were sold, is ranked as the top-grossing venue.
