The Queen once reacted hilariously to her eldest son Prince Charles, 73, calling her “mummy” in one of his speeches.
Prince Charles took to the stage at Saturday’s Party at the Palace to pay tribute to his 96 year old mother, and gushed over the Queen’s achievement over her last 70 years on the throne.
"Your Majesty, Mummy,” he began, using a phrase he's often said in public.
Charles continued: "The scale of this evening’s celebration – and the outpouring of warmth and affection over this whole Jubilee weekend – is our way of saying thank you; from your family, the country, the Commonwealth, in fact, the whole world.
"On behalf of us all, I wanted to pay my own tribute to your lifetime of selfless service.
"Your family now spans four generations. You are our Head of State. And you are also our mother."

The Queen herself wasn’t in attendance for Saturday’s festivities after having pulled out of some of the Jubilee celebrations due to her ongoing mobility issues.
While she wasn’t there for fans to see her reaction to Charles’ touching tribute, Saturday wasn’t the first time Charles has called her “mummy” in public, and her hilarious response was caught on camera in 2018.
During her 92nd birthday celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall, Prince Charles gave another heartfelt speech about his mother.
Similar to Saturday’s speech, he began: "Your Majesty, mummy,” which sparked huge cheers and applause from the crowd.
Meanwhile, the Queen, who was standing next to her son, comically rolled her eyes in response.
Other members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, were also seen chuckling.
Charles’ speech went on: “I have a feeling that in 1948 when you were 22 you didn’t somehow expect that on your 92nd birthday to find your son in his 70th year.
“So, just able still to raise a small hip hip, would you ladies and gentlemen all give her Majesty three unbelievable rousing cheers on her birthday.”
After Charles paid tribute to his mother on Saturday, the Queen gave a subtle nod to her late husband Prince Philip as she appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony on Sunday.
The monarch, who is known for wearing colourful ensembles, donned a green outfit with a matching hat as she looked out over tens of thousands of people on The Mall in London.
This may have been a subtle tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh as Edinburgh green was said to be the late Duke’s favourite colour, and she has worn the hue on multiple important occasions.
