David and Victoria Beckham has reportedly won a battle against their neighbour, who apparently complained about their renovation plans.

The Beckhams were recently reported to have sought planning permission for a secret tunnel, wine cellar and a security hut in their Cotswolds home in a bid to “increase security”.

But the request for the security hut reportedly irked the couple’s neighbour, who is claimed to have said the idea was “out of place” for the area.

One local told The Sun Online: “Farms and agricultural buildings do not have gatehouses and security huts.”

It has now been reported the objection has “been removed” which clears the way for David, 45, and 46 year old Victoria’s apparent plan for “Fort Knox-style measures” to be built at their farmhouse estate in the Cotswolds.

The security post is expected to be manned 24 hours a day – even when the couple, who have four children together, are not in residence.

Last month, the former professional footballer and his wife reportedly put in plans to create an underground walkway which would link their luxury home to the car garage on the property.

David and Victoria, who recently showed off her favourite working from home look, are understood to have asked the local council’s permission for the home improvements.

In documents obtained by Express, Posh and Beck’s planning agent said of the plans: “The proposed development includes a new basement cellar constructed beneath the extension to the existing garage outbuilding with a linked walkway.

“The basement cellar beneath is for storage of wine and the proposed use of the outbuilding is solely in association with the main dwelling house.

“It will improve security for the occupants of the property.

“The proposed [garage] extension adds three new bays to the existing garage outbuilding, increasing the building from four bays to seven.”

Posh and Beck’s impressive Cotswolds home, said to be worth £6million, comprises of a classic country kitchen kitted with a wood-burning pizza oven, a spacious living room, as well as plunge pool and fire pit in the garden.

The couple purchased the lavish pad back in 2016. But, their latest reported venture to expand the home isn’t the only property change they’ve made in recent months.

In March, David and his former Spice Girls wife Victoria reportedly purchased a £20million luxury apartment in Miami, complete with a roofed driveway, a private helipad and a roof top pool, according to The Sun.
