Sam Thompson has revealed he asked for his ex Zara McDermott's permission before posting a film of the moment she pleaded with him to forgive her.
The reality star, who recently revealed he's been using a therapist since his split, took to his Instagram stories to speak to his 1.1million followers about the short clip and explained that he found it all "hilarious".
Wearing a light grey hoodie as he spoke to the camera, the 28 year old said: "I'd just like to address the video that I took down last night. I found it quite funny, I think 99.9 per cent of you guys found it quite funny.

"But to the 0.1 per cent I'd just like to say that I did have Zara's full permission to post that."
The Made In Chelsea star went on to explain that the sketch is about him making fun of himself and not 23 year old Zara.
He continued: "I showed it to her prior, she understood the context of it, she understood that it's actually me taking the piss out of myself and the fact that Made In Chelsea has literally been there through every high and every low in my entire life.

Sam, who recently showed support for Zara as he "liked" a tweet defending her, said: "And how mad it is that you can literally take a clip like that and put your own spin on it. It's trending on TikTok so someone else has done it. I find it hilarious and slightly terrifying.
"But she was on board with it, she understood it. I would never post anything without running it by her regardless of the fact that we're not together. It was no way meant to be revenge or anything like that, she got that."
He ended his statement by adding: "Maybe in a few months, I'll post it again and the humour can be seen by all. Maybe not, I don't know."

In the original sketch, Sam is feasting on a Nandos and has food all over his white T-shirt as he imitates his ex.
Just moments after uploading the clip on Instagram, Sam hastily removed it from his page.
The scene in question that Sam chose to do a sketch of was from last week's episode which showed Sam and Zara meet up in the park to discuss their relationship after Zara admitted to cheating on Sam.
Zara pleaded with Sam to forgive her. "I just want you to forgive me," she cried.

"I just absolutely no way, because how can there ever be a way? I can't even trust this," Sam responded.
An emotional Zara begged Sam: "No, don't! Please stop, please!"
"For me I can't do it," Sam concluded. "I think I just need to figure out whether I can do this. I can't be around at the moment. I need to go figure my head out. I just need space."
