Digby Edgley has spoken out about his Made in Chelsea co-stars James Taylor and Maeva D’Ascanio, saying they will make “brilliant parents”.
James, 27, and Maeva, who recently turned 30, have been dating since 2019, and got engaged earlier this year.
Not long after their exciting engagement news, the pair announced that they’re expecting their first child together.
In sweet snaps of James kissing Maeva’s blossoming baby bump, the expectant mother wrote at the time: "New adventures! I’m so grateful to my amazing future daddy for giving this baby so much love already”.
Ahead of their little bundle of joy’s arrival, Digby spoke to OK! about the pair’s exciting new chapter, and spoke of what great parents they will be.
“I’m really close to James and we’d play golf at least once a week while we were out in Majorca [filming the new summer series],” he began.
“I’m honestly so happy for them both. I think they’re bloody brilliant together, and I love Maeva – she’s so sweet.”
Digby continued: “She looks so elegant while pregnant. I think she looks great.
“I’m super happy for them and I think, as much as Maeva has the drama on the show, her and James are brilliant together. James deals with everything so well.”
“They really compliment each other,” he added.
Discussing their baby’s pending arrival, Digby went on: “I think they’ll be brilliant parents. James is so excited.”
Digby also touched upon James and Maeva’s upcoming nuptials and quipped that while he doesn’t know much about their plans, he hopes that he’ll be invited.
Digby, James, Maeva and the rest of the MIC cast have recently been filming in Majorca for the new summer series, which is set to air on Monday 22nd August.
With the show soon hitting our screens again, Digby has teased a very “juicy” season.
He told OK!: "It’s a juicy one. I genuinely think that this summer series is probably going to be the best summer series we’ve ever done.
"There’s a lot of unexpected things like – I obviously can’t say too much – but close friends unexpectedly falling out and you see different sides of people that you wouldn’t normally see. So yeah, it’s going to be a good one. Some new people come in; it’s a big one."
Adding what it was like filming in Majorca, he went on to say: "It was amazing. I’m not complaining, I was out there for six weeks and it’s the first time I’ve been to Majorca. We were in such a good house and we had a lot of fun, and a lot of dramas.”
