Killing Eve bosses are ‘planning to bring out a range of kitchen utensils and have already trademarked the name’

The show was a ratings success and garnered critical acclaim across the board.

And now it’s been reported that Killing Eve bosses are planning to bring out a range of kitchen utensils, and are said to have already trademarked the name.

Producers have reportedly registered the name with the Intellectual Property Office in order to protect the brand.

A source told The Sun: ‘Killing Eve has been a huge success and really put Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh on the map.

‘The producers are keen to protect their baby, and have trademarked the name against various items.

‘I’m sure they can come up with a kitchen utensil or two that hitwoman Villanelle would be delighted to use.’

MailOnline has contacted the BBC Press Office for comment.

The reports come just days after Jodie Comer, 28, and Sandra Oh, 50,  filmed dramatic scenes for the last episode of the fourth and final season of Killing Eve.

A TV insider told The Sun of the scene: ‘The action certainly seemed to hook the attention of passers-by, including Londoners and tourists who couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing.

‘And there was a moment of real high tension as the sound of gunshots echoed around the banks of the River Thames.’

Last month Jodie revealed that filming the last scenes for Killing Eve would be ’emotional’ as the hit series comes to an end.

Popular: Jodie stars as the killer Villanelle in the BBC show alongside Sandra Oh and recently said that she hopes the show will end on a ‘good and satisfying’ note for viewers

Speaking on This Morning, she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield how she was about to shoot the last two episodes of the fourth and final season.

Jodie said that she hopes the show will end on a ‘good and satisfying’ note for viewers while not completely ruling out doing a film based on the series.

She said: ‘It’s very surreal, we are just about to start filming the last 2 episodes. We want to end on a good note and on a satisfying note for the audience. It’s been a huge part of all our lives.

‘I feel emotional even thinking about it. I want to take a clapper board with me when we wrap up!’
