Kate Middleton shared a sweet moment with a young girl when she picked the youngster out from the crowd.
Elizabeth Sulkovska, eight, was one of hundreds of people to flock to Sandringham earlier today, Thursday 14 September, and was spotted by the Princess of Wales.
Elizabeth came with a corgi teddy to place alongside the Queen’s floral tributes, when Kate, 40, invited her to come place it down with her.
Speaking after Kate's heartfelt gesture, the young girl said she was “very happy” to have shared the special moment the mum-of-three.
Elizabeth was taken to Sandringham alongside her classmates from Howard Junior School in King’s Lynn, who were accompanied by the school’s head teacher, Gregory Hill.
“Elizabeth was overwhelmed, she cried with joy at being chosen,” he said, as per Mirror Online. “It’s just a wonderful, amazing opportunity.”
He said that the Queen’s death has "touched a young generation as well”, adding: "The older generation obviously knew the Queen for longer but young children that haven’t experienced the Queen for long on the throne still are greatly moved by her passing, and really want to do their best to celebrate her life and legacy and never forget her.”
As well as Elizabeth’s corgi, some of the school children made a Paddington Bear tribute – something which was also noticed by the Princess of Wales.
The tribute gave the nod to the late Queen’s heartwarming comic sketch with the well-loved children’s book character, which aired for her Platinum Jubilee.

There may have been some sweet moments between the royal pair and the members of the public during today's public outing, but it was also a sombre affair for William in particular.
In addition to chatting to the public, Kate and William took the time to read the poignant messages of sympathy that have been left in the Queen’s memory.
William appeared to be deeply moved and visibly emotional as he bowed his head to look at the large number of colourful tributes in front of the estate’s gates.

This 100 page tribute looks back at the life of our most beloved monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, marking key events during her remarkable 70-year reign, as well as her childhood as a young princess, her enduring love for Prince Philip and her family, and the lasting legacy she leaves our nation.

Kate also paid a subtle tribute to The Queen with her jewellery choice, as she opted to wear a pair of delicate pearl earrings that had previously belonged to the late monarch herself, alongside a chic black overcoat and dress for the occasion.
Pearl jewellery has long been synonymous with the funeral customs of grieving royals, with the tradition dating back to the time of Queen Victoria – but even beyond tradition, they were also one of the Queen’s favourite precious stones.
