James Martin, 49, has told fellow chef, Paul Ainsworth, 42, that his food decisions would warrant his car being sabotaged in Yorkshire. The conversation took place on Paul’s podcast Knives, Forks & Tunes with Paul Ainsworth.
If you did that in my neck of the woods, they’re gonna sabotage your car.

In the podcast, Paul asks his guests what their fantasy dinner party would be like.
Early in the discussion, the pair get sidetracked and James tells Paul about his visit to his restaurant the night before.
James said: “You don’t need to cover everything in stuff.
“It’s like when I went to your restaurant last night and I just said, ‘can I have fish and chips?’
“And then this other plethora of stuff arrived in little bowls.”
At this point, Paul interrupts, asking James to backtrack on what he had said.
James continues: “Let me just hold on with you a minute.
“Did those peas ever see a freezer?”
Paul replied, “yes very quickly”, giving James the perfect opportunity to aim a dig at his friend.
Yorkshire-born James said: “So, they’re frozen peas.
“Yes, they are the best peas with fish pie, but when you mash them up with a bit of cream, a little bit of mint and a little bit of lemon that you put in there and you call them mushy peas. (sic)
“If you did that in my neck of the woods, they’re gonna sabotage your car.”
Paul could not contain his laughter at this point.
To which James responded: “They’re not mushy peas are they?”
