Though there have been reports that Nene Leakes is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta she has clapped back at the rumors. In a new report, insiders with close information to her castmates have revealed what they think about the longtime cast member potentially not having a peach next season.

There have been several rumors about a cast shakeup on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. One rumbling is that Phaedra Parks could be returning. Also, TMZ is reported earlier this year that Yovanna Momplaisir, a major factor in the reunion drama, will be added to the cast for the new season. Also, Cynthia Bailey could either be leaving the show to go to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or appear on both shows, now that she is now living a bicoastal lifestyle.
Leakes has addressed the report from Love B Scott that she was fired. She told Entertainment Tonight, “We are in negotiations! Not sure where these rumors are coming from! If these negotiations don’t work out, I will announce it myself.”
The network also denied these reports to the publication, saying, “There is no truth to this story — Nene was not fired and conversations for the next season are still ongoing.”

Here’s what the other Housewives are reportedly saying about Nene potentially leaving
According to HollywoodLife, who spoke to sources close to the show and the housewives, they all have thoughts about Leakes’s potential exit from the show.
Of course, Porsha Williams, who is Leakes’ closest ally on the show as of recent, doesn’t want her to go. “Porsha is really hoping that NeNe does sign her contract and come back to the show,” the source said. “They’ve gotten extremely close especially during quarantine. NeNe is like a mother hen to her and always is checking in on PJ [Williams’ daughter], it’s sweet. They’ve come really far.”
On the other hand, the other peach-holding queens, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Kandi Burruss, are all indifferent about Leakes staying or going.

“The other ladies don’t care either way if NeNe returns or not. They’re not surprised that NeNe hasn’t signed her contract yet because she does this every season,” the source added. “Last year she wasn’t in the first few episodes because she refused to sign her contract. They know NeNe is NeNe. They know she doesn’t make or break the show and feel it’ll go on successfully with or without her in it.”
