Whether you’re coming to MTV’s The Challenge now on its 36th season—because #lockdown #nothingelsetodo—or after dutifully catching all three-decades worth of originals and spinoffs, it doesn’t matter.

The unique thing about The Challenge is that contestants like Cory Wharton get to return and win cash during multiple seasons—making the reality show something of a Marvel universe meets a celebrity reunion, except without good CGI and not nearly enough Chris Evans. And unlike other reality shows where contestants take home meager after-tax winnings, folks on The Challenge can rack up multiple-year winnings.

How much prize money has contestant Cory Wharton taken home? Here’s what we know about Wharton’s net worth from The Challenge:

Cory Wharton’s net worth is estimated to be roughly $63,000

Maybe not as much compared to costars like Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio (who’s won over $1 million), but Wharton has several victories under his belt from the eight seasons of the show in which he’s appeared.

Wharton first appeared on Real World: Ex-Plosion back in 2014, but Wharton won most of his award money the following season on Battle of the Bloodlines when he brought on his cousin Mitch. Wharton took second place and $37,500. He’d end up in third place two years later during Invasion of the Champions, winning $5,000, in addition to the $21,500 from his team’s pool of winnings throughout the season.

Wharton returns this season with Double Agents and a chance to increase his earnings, because, let’s face it, $65,000 after taxes is maybe not worth all the energy and potential embarrassment it’s required.
