Gemma Collins has exclusively revealed that if her on off boyfriend James Argent pops the question this Christmas, she hopes he’ll be digging deep in his pocket.

During a festive shoot at her Essex home with new magazine, the star admitted she would not be happy if Arg got down on one knee with a budget ring.

“James knows! We do have a rule, every birthday and Christmas he has to lavish me in diamonds. He’s got me a cross, a bracelet and I have seen some earrings I like,” The GC, 39, said.

She added that the absolute minimum amount he 32-year-old should be spending on her is “three times his annual salary.”

When new corrected the former star that it’s traditionally three times the man’s monthly salary, she lamented: “Now that is disappointing. Mind you, Arg does all right, don’t get me wrong.

“But he’s just bought a house too so I wouldn’t want to put that pressure on – so long as it’s diamonds of some sort. I’m a queen and I need to be treated as such.”

Gemma and Arg have had a rocky relationship for the past seven years. Last year, the self-confessed diva revealed Arg would get on one knee eventually.

“It will happen when we’re ready" and she added she wants a “huge yellow diamond.”

“So unless he can come up with the goods… I deserve the best," she demanded.

Talking about how he would propose, Arg told OK! magazine last year: "I can't tell you when but I'm definitely asking Gemma to be my wife next year.

He added: "It's going to be a huge proposal, I won't be doing it by halves."

Gemma was previously engaged to car salesman Rami Hawash in 2012. He proposed to her with a teardrop diamond ring placed in a Christmas pudding.

Gem revealed the news on Twitter, “Very excited to announce that I got engaged yesterday. I am very very happy @RamTech_ I love you best Xmas pudding x,” alongside a pic of the cake.

They split a year later after dating on and off for over three year ith Rami later speculating they would be married with kids if it wasn't for her diva on-screen alter ego The GC.

“If I could have evicted The GC and lived with Gemma Collins, things would have been different. We might have been married with a family now,” he said.
