Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Gorka Marquez, 29, and Gemma Atkinson, 35, confirmed their relationship back in February 2018 after meeting on the BBC dance show in 2017. Last year, the pair jokingly clashed about a wedding venue, despite them not being engaged.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Gorka said he hasn’t thought about proposing to Gemma despite her hinting at wanting to tie the knot in the past.

He said: “Maybe one day, but we are very happy the way we are for now. Why change things?”

When asked if the thought had crossed his mind, he added: “Not really, we are very happy the way we are. I haven’t really thought about it.”

Gorka and Gemma welcomed their first baby together back in July last year; a daughter named Mia.

Last year, the pair light-heartedly clashed about a potential wedding venue in a video uploaded to their blog.

The duo were filmed shooting for their channel outside Leeds Castle in Kent.

Midway through a piece to camera, Gemma brought up the subject of a wedding as they admired the castle.

“So we are outside of Leeds castle and it’s beautiful,” Gorka began.

“Gorks wants to get married here,” Gemma chimed in.

But, the professional dancer swiftly disagreed with her and clarified he would rather get married in his own country, Spain.

“I didn’t say I want to get married here,” Gorka replied, to which Gemma added: “You said you want to get married in the castle.”

Gemma admitted to wanting her beau’s surname even more after registering their daughter Mia last year.

The radio host said she felt “sad” when realising she was the only one without his surname.

Speaking on Hits Radio, she said: “[Registering Mia was quite sad because until then apparently they officially take the mum’s name, but once registered she’s an official Marquez.
