Michael Jackson fan clubs in France are launching a legal battle against two men who made sexual abuse allegations against the King of Pop.

Wade Robson and James Safechuck allege that they were sexually abused by Jackson when they were children.

Leaving Neverland, directed by Dan Reed, is a documentary based on the claims.

The Michael Jackson Community, the MJ Street, and On The Line allege that the documentary is “sullying” the singer’s reputation.

The three fan clubs have filed a lawsuit in a court in Orleans, France, which held a hearing on Thursday. France is a country with rigid defamation laws.

They seek symbolic damages of 1 euro, or $1.13, each from the two men.

Jackson’s estate is also fighting a legal battle with HBO over the documentary.
