Matt and Emma Willis announced as Love Is Blind: UK hosts
Emma Willis has confessed she lies about the age gap between herself and her bassist husband Matt, disguising the fact that she has now turned 47.
“People just think I am Matt’s age, which is 40, and I am like, ‘Yes! I am!'” she joked.
The TV presenter then chuckled to Mail Online: “It’s a good mind trick, that’s for sure.”
Emma, a former model for major brands including Chanel and Gap, was once no stranger to appearing in the likes of Vogue.
Although the years have passed since then, she has managed to maintain an extraordinarily youthful look, while she also believes that her confidence has increased with age.

Discussing the matter in another interview after turning 40 – the year she gave birth to Trixie, the youngest of her three kids – she insisted: “I’m more confident in myself.
“I’m 40, it’s official, but I don’t feel it, and I’m pleased I don’t look it.”
She added that “the majority” of her youthful appearance is down to being genetically blessed.
However, she also added: “I look after myself, I rarely drink, I don’t smoke, I eat healthily, I exercise. There’s never anything less than SPF30 on my face, and I always put on a hat.”

Husband Matt, on the other hand, hasn’t always been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle – and his struggles with drugs and alcohol were unveiled in a 2023 BBC documentary, Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction.
On the candid TV show, a concerned Emma admitted to keeping a diary to track how much he had consumed, noting that he was drinking or taking drugs “every single day without fail”.
She started to monitor it before they got married and continued to worry about Matt’s habits until his relapses ended more than six years ago.
The last one took place when their youngest child was 10 months old, and he has since made a recovery, admitting to The Guardian that in the past he “used drugs to function” and got the shakes if he had to wait until midday for a drink.
Emma revealed that she’d had to trust her instincts about his ability to stay away from destructive habits, insisting: “You could see in him he wanted to be better.”
The couple have since signed up to present a Netflix reality show, Love Is Blind, which sees singles trying to find love without seeing each other face-to-face.
Meanwhile, Emma is also all set to start filming the second series of The World Cook, which she fronts with chef Fred Sirieix and will see her travelling.
Fortunately, she’s confirmed that she and Matt have a well-functioning system where they share out childcare duties for 14-year-old Isabelle, 12-year-old Ace and baby of the family Trixie, who is seven.
