Prince Harry and Meghan’s self-titled Netflix docu-series made a series of explosive allegations about the Royal Family.
As a result experts believe it has left an irreparable gulf between Harry and his closest family members – King Charles and Prince William.
While only time will tell if this is true, the King is being praised for his response, with the Mirror reporting he "totally outplayed Harry and Meghan."
This follows reports that the King fully intends to invite Harry and Meghan to next year’s Coronation – which will take place on May 6.
A source close to the Royal family, told the Telegraph: “All members of the family will be welcome.”
Senior royal commentator and journalist, Daniela Elser, explained why the King would be so eager to do this despite the allegations made in the docu-series.
She told News.au: “….[it] goes a long way towards making the Royal Family look magnanimous and warm-hearted Royal Family, willing to be the much bigger people and to look past that Netflix nonsense."
Continuing, she added: "The same report stated even after the final episodes aired, there was no desire to make any changes to his carefully considered message in the wake of the increasingly ferocious attacks."
Her comments just days after it was reported that the Prince of Wales had “no plans to speak to Harry” after being accused of bullying his younger brother in the docu-series.
Prince Harry alleged he and other senior royals “lied to protect my brother”, with their relationship breaking down even further as The Sussex’s prepared to step away from royal life.
Recalling the intense moment, he told filmmakers that Prince William had screamed at him, dubbing the moment “terrifying” as the late Queen Elizabeth looked on.
The heated exchange took place at Sandringham in January 2020, just before Harry and Meghan emigrated to Canada.
Despite the allegations, there has been no formal comment from the Royal Family.
This comes after royal insider revealed that King Charles and Prince William have vowed to keep a “dignified silence” over the Netflix series.
Instead, the royal family have opted to put on a united front appearing at the Together At Christmas carol service.
In a coded display of unity, several senior royals wore almost identical burgundy wool coats, including Kate Middleton, Prince Charlotte, Zara Tindal and Pippa Middleton.
The coordinated look even saw Prince William wear a matching tie, as his family attended the televised service at Westminster Abbey.
The carol concert will air later this week on December 23 on ITV One with performances from Craig David, Alfie Boe and Melanie C.
