“Hallelujah,” Carrie Underwood‘s duet with John Legend, has risen to the top spot on Billboard‘s Hot Christian Songs chart.
The collaboration rose 2-1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart dated December 26, giving Underwood her third No. 1 on the list and Legend his first.
With the move Underwood’s “Hallelujah” replaces her “Favorite Time of Year” atop the chart, making the country superstar the first woman to supplant herself at No. 1.
The uptick by “Hallelujah” came as the track saw a 56% spike to 8.6 million U.S. streams in the tracking week ended December 17, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Billboard noted “Hallelujah” also sold 5,000 downloads in that timeframe (up 16%) and drew 1.6 million in radio airplay audience (up 14%) in the week ended December 20.
“Hallelujah,” is off Underwood’s first holiday album, My Gift, which debuted atop Billboard’s Top Christian Albums and Top Country Albums charts dated October 10.
