Emmerdale: Leyla walks out on Liam
In recent scenes in Emmerdale, GP Liam Cavanagh (played by Jonny McPherson) has started to see Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) in a different light after they bonded over his murder mystery book.
After the nurse discovered he was writing a novel, she instantly got involved and they started working together outside of working hours.
However, in official spoilers released by ITV, Liam and Wendy end up kissing after attending a murder mystery convention together.
Things don’t stop there either, because the pair risk getting caught after sharing a passionate moment at work.
Liam wants to continue their secret fling and while Wendy tries to stop it, will she be able to resist the GP?
Speaking in an exclusive Q&A with Express.co.uk and other press, the actors who play Liam and Wendy opened up about their infidelity and how it will affect Bob.
When asked whether Liam and Wendy take their relationship one step further and sleep together, Susan simply replied: “Yes.”
“She feels terrible about that, she does love Bob, she does,” the actress explained as she detailed how it will affect Bob.
“She is devastated about that and she basically tells Liam it has to stop, it was a moment of madness.

Emmerdale exit for Wendy Posner after Liam Cavanagh betrayal[SPOILERS]
“It was great fun but she is in a deep, meaningful relationship with Bob and it has to stop but Liam doesn’t want it to stop.”
She continued: “I realised the other day there is more to Wendy and Liam because he knows about her past with the husband and the drug problem and she went to prison for a year.
“It was a while ago when her husband turns up and tries to blackmail her and she tries to do the right thing and goes to Liam and says, ‘I’ve got to hand my notice in’.
“And he tells her, ‘You’re too good of a nurse, you’re not going anywhere, your secret is safe with me’.”
“So, I think there is a respect and understanding between the two of them,” she added.
Meanwhile, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) also grow closer together when they have a near-kiss moment.
Bernice is left mortified by her colleague’s rejection, but will they be able to resist each other?
A double exit could soon be on the cards after Liam and Wendy’s affair is exposed, but how will Bob react?
