The body of a woman has been found on a fire trail in Sydney’s upper north shore, police say.
Emergency services were called to Cliff Oval on Daly Avenue in North Wahroonga about 12.40pm on Thursday following reports a body had been found in the area.
NSW Police officers arrived at the scene and found the woman’s body on a nearby fire trail.
She is believed to be in her 40s, but police are yet to identify her formally.
Police have now turned to the public for assistance after an investigation into the woman’s death was launched on Thursday.
“Anyone who may have information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Hornsby Police Station on 02 9476 9799,” a statement from NSW Police said.
