ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has allegedly been told he must take a pay-cut to stay at Bayern Munich just days after winning the Fifa's Best Men's Player of the Year.
The 33-year-old pipped Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to win the prestigious honour.
No player scored more than the Poland international's 69 goals in 2021.
And the ex-Borussia Dortmund ace, who has retained his award from last year, has yet again been in devastating form this season having banged in 34 goals from 27 games.
However, the striker has entered the final 18 months of his £369,000-a-week deal with the Bundesliga giants.
Bayern have been linked with a move for Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
And Marca claims that they have informed Lewandowski that they will only agree to a two-year extension if he agrees to take a drop in wages.
The club usually deploy just a 12-month extension for players aged over 30.

But they are willing to go against that in order to keep the hotshot – if he accepts the cut.
Haaland is expected to leave Dortmund in the summer when his £64m release clause kicks in.
The Norwegian has a host of Premier League and European heavyweights chasing his services.
And Bayern will be one of those leading the chase should they decide to cash-in on Lewandowski if he fails to pen an extension.
