Victoria and David Beckham stayed true to their reputation as style icons as they headed for a lunch date at Bar Pitti in New York's Greenwich Village.

The former Spice Girl, 47, looked sensational in a chic yellow ruffled rollneck top which she teamed with flared champagne-coloured trousers and heels to add height to her petite frame.

The fashion designer added to her look by draping her blazer atop a handbag, while a pair of black shades and mask covered her pretty features.

Victoria walked hand in hand with her husband David, 46, who went for a matching look in a light pastel yellow polo shirt that exposed his inked arms.

Leading the way into the Big Apple eatery, David completed his stylish look with pinstripe navy trousers and pair of sunglasses.

The happy couple made a quick outfit change later, with Victoria switching to jeans while David wore a white shirt with denims.

While Posh and Becks are clearly stronger than ever, it seems like their eldest sons Brooklyn Beckham and Romeo Beckham are also smitten with their partners.

Rather than dreading becoming a granny, a source recently told new! magazine that Victoria, who shared a rare snap with her dad Tony, is happy at the thought that she might become a grandmother soon.

"Brooklyn and Romeo are both settling down and babies aren't likely to be a million miles off," our source explained.

"Particularly as Brooklyn is getting married soon, so babies are the natural next step.

"Victoria would love to be a young gran and wouldn't she be the most glamorous granny we've ever seen!"

The source added: "Both Victoria and David are very family orientated and really love children, so she'd relish the opportunity to be a hands-on gran."

The comments come as Victoria's oldest sons, Brooklyn, 22, and Romeo, 18, seem increasingly besotted with their respective girlfriends.

Brooklyn is in the middle of wedding planning with fiancée Nicola Peltz, 26, and has recently said he aspires to be an "amazing dad and husband".

Meanwhile, Romeo recently celebrated his two-year anniversary with 17-year-old girlfriend Mia Regan and declared his love for her on social media.
