The fundraiser Ashley Cain set up for his late daughter Azaylia has skyrocketed past £1.6million.

Three days after the youngster passed away following a battle with leukemia, fans have been generously donating in her memory on the GoFundMe page.

Scores of tributes also flooded in on the page, with one person writing: "Sitting here at home with my 9 month old baby I just can't imagine the pain you must be feeling!

"She has touched so many lives, including my own. Beautiful little lion girl. Sending you all my love!! From one mum to another."

Another wrote: "Rest in peace Azaylia, the bravest baby girl we have seen you are in everyone's thoughts. To Safiyya and Ashley you've handled the worst thing possible with nothing but love and bravery sorry for your loss."

Reality star Ashley, 30, and his girlfriend Safiyya, 34, initially set up the fundraising page in March to pay for specialist CAR-T therapy treatment in Singapore.

Fans and celebrities alike rushed to offer support, and they shattered their target of the £1million needed within hours.

But days later, Ashley shared the devastating update that doctors believed Azaylia had just days to live after they found tumours throughout her body.

Ashley told fans: "So we had the bone marrow test and the lumbar puncture and bloods taken to send to Singapore in the hope that they could create therapy to save Azaylia's life.

"Then we had to have a CT scan on her head and the results came back the next day to say she's got two very big tumours on her brain.

"If they tried to go through the spinal tap it would kill her. At that point, our world came down."

Ashley and Safiyya have promised to use any surplus funds raised on GoFundMe to help other families in similar situations.
