J.Lo and A-Rod are sticking together.

According to People, the power couple are working on their relationship and “taking things slowly” as they have a mini reunion together in the Dominican Republic. Lopez is currently filming her upcoming romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding on the Caribbean island alongside Lenny Kravitz and Josh Duhamel. Photos were published of the couple sharing a kiss in the aftermath of some serious relationship drama in recent days.

“Although Jennifer has been filming, she has been able to spend time with Alex too. It has been great for them to spend time in person,” a source told the outlet. “They both seem much happier. They are taking things slowly though. They still have a lot to figure out before their relationship is great again.”

The latest update on the couple comes after conflicting press reports regarding the couple’s relationship status. Just last week, People, Page Six, and TMZ reported the pair’s romance to be over following a two-year engagement. The following day, Lopez and Rodriguez released a joint statement via People saying that they were very much still together but “working through some things” as a couple.

According to the above source, Lopez is struggling with trust issues within her and Rodriguez’s relationship, and though they’re still engaged, wedding planning as a whole is on hold.

“[Jennifer was] very much ready to give up,” but “she is happy they are still together,” the source told People. “Jennifer is struggling with trust issues. They are far from planning a wedding again, but they are still engaged.”
