Pierpaolo Piccoli has been injecting a new vibe into the Red Valentino line over the last few seasons: previously sweet and girly, it’s now more urban and cutting edge. In this process of transformation, or better evolution, the designer didn’t set aside the signature romantic and feminine codes of the brand, but leveraged them to give it a quirky, dynamic vibe. For fall, Piccioli stressed the more sensual side of the label in a charming collection of revisited and repurposed urban staples enriched with special, sometimes dramatic, details.
The look: Edgy urbanwear with sexy, frisky touches.
Quote of note: “I believe that when you get rid of preconceptions, you can actually reach a deeper level of emotion. This is what we are trying to do at Red Valentino, which is now grounded on a new sense of freedom and sassiness, reflecting the spirit of today’s generations,” Piccioli said. “Once again, I wanted to offer a collection composed of special pieces, that stand out with their uniqueness, enriching the Red Valentino message.”
