Why did Ryan Dorsey leave Yellowstone?

In Yellowstone season two, Ryan Dorsey played the role of Blake, a meth dealer in Montana.
Blake was a friend of Ray (played by Lane Garrison) and an old friend of Jimmy Hurdstram (Jefferson White).
He starred in four instalments in total, episodes three, four, eight and nine.
Dorsey left Yellowstone after Blake’s story simply came to an unfortunate end.

Blake was killed in a deadly explosion, orchestrated by the Dutton family.
Ray and Blake attempted to reclaim money Jimmy owed them and in the process, beat up Jimmy’s grandfather Dirk Hurdstram (Stanley Peternel) to send a warning.
Sadly, Dirk died from his injuries and as a result, Jimmy was hellbent on his avenging his grandfather’s death.
With the help of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, Jimmy blew up the mobile home Blake and Ray were living in, killing them both.
The death of Ryan and Ray was not the only shocking death in Yellowstone season two.
Episode six of Yellowstone season two, saw the death of reporter Sarah Nguyen (Michaela Conlin).
She was murdered by Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) to prevent her from publishing a damning story about his family.
Beth Dutton’s (Kelly Reilly) assistant Jason (David Cleveland Brown) was killed and Dan Jenkins’ (Danny Huston) head of security was killed in his vehicle by hitmen.
Teal Beck (Terry Serpico) was killed off in the season two finale of Yellowstone.
He was murdered by Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), who made his death look like a shootout.
Dan Jenkins was also killed in the season two finale of Yellowstone.

Who is Ryan Dorsey?
Ryan Dorsey is an American actor from Chesapeake, West Virginia.
Yellowstone viewers will most likely recognise Dorsey from his role was Earl on Justified.
He is also well known for playing Dime Bag on Ray Donavan, opposite Liev Schreiber, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok and Jon Voight.
His other well-known credits include Bosch, Runaways, Stumptown, The Vampire Diaries and Nashville.
In 2016, Dorsey secured his first film role, working alongside Braveheart’s Mel Gibson in Blood Father.
In Blood Father, he played the role of the drug dealer, Shamrock.
Dorsey is also well known for his marriage to the late Naya Rivera.
Sadly, Rivera died on July 8, 2020. She was 33-years-old.
