Bogus “black” college professor Jessica Krug also tried to pass herself off as a Puerto Rican from the South Bronx — but her lousy salsa dancing made her suspect, a borough activist told The Post on Friday.

“It was mediocre at best, but she was talking about how great she was,” blogger and photojournalist Ed Garcia Conde said of the dancing by Krug — a white woman who passed herself off as black for years. “She was showing off her moves, and I’m trying to be nice.”

Garcia Conde said he first met Krug dancing at last year’s Puerto Rican Day festival, held on the Saturday before the city’s famous annual parade.

Krug — a George Washington University professor of African history — outted herself as a liar about her race this week, allegedly under threat of exposure.

She is really a white Jewish woman from Kansas.

As one of her several alter egos of color, Krug kept an East Harlem apartment and claimed to have been a black Latina who grew up in The Bronx — around the corner from the infamous police shooting of Amadou Diallo.

She also proudly proclaimed herself to be a salsa instructor.

“She joined our group of about four or five people,” Garcia Conde told The Post of a later meetup with Krug, a dance session he called “my two hours of hell.”

Krug wore short shorts and a sleeveless black tank top bearing the Puerto Rican flag for it.

“She said she was Puerto Rican and from The Bronx — she said she had roots in The Bronx and taught salsa.

“She was adamant of that,” Garcia Conde said. “I can’t dance salsa, but I know salsa when I see it.

“And not that this wasn’t salsa, but she did not dance like a salsa teacher … I was thinking, ‘No, I can’t see it.’ ”

Worse than her dancing was her preachy, “woker-than-thou” attitude, he said.

“She came across to me as someone who was uber-militant about her activism — whether it was anti-racism or anti-gentrification,” said Garcia Conde.

“She was questioning anyone who she thought was not as militant as her,” said the journalist, an activist who for 11 years has run the borough’s largest independent news blog, “Welcome2TheBronx.”

Garcia Conde said he greeted the news of Krug’s self-outting with sadness — not for her but for “the real Afro-Latinos who didn’t get that grant, didn’t get that academic work, because of her.

“She stole food from people’s mouths as someone who pretended to be one of us … I hope she gets the therapy she needs, but the issue for me is the victims in her wake,” he said.
