LIAM Payne has broken his silence for the first time since it was revealed he popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, Maya Henry.
Last night the former One Direction star hosted a live video chat with fans – but failed to mention his engagement news.
On The LP Show act two, Liam said: "I have a lot to think a lot to think about.
"Honestly when I do my hair this is my worst nightmare.
"We will call it the sideways wave. Why is this? someone help."
He added: "When I wake up we [me and Maya] call it chicken hair. It looks like a chicken."
Cheryl Tweedy's ex proposed with a £3million diamond ring, which 20-year-old Maya was spotted wearing earlier this evening leaving a romantic dinner in London.
Liam and Texan-born Maya were first linked in August 2018, shortly after the hunk split from 37-year-old Cheryl – who he shares three-year-old son Bear with.
Liam, 26, recently popped the question with the huge rock – just months after their brief split in February.
But they've not got imminent plans to get hitched.
A source close to the Strip That Down singer said: “They’re in no rush to tie the knot but Liam wanted to show his commitment by proposing now.
“He knows they will be together forever so they are going to take their time in organising a wedding. They don’t have any plans for it yet.”
The insider added: “Liam is absolutely smitten with Maya and living together in lockdown made him realise she is absolutely the one for him."
