CAT LADY has enough quality to overcome her outside draw. She has clocked much the best times of today’s contenders while Todd Pletcher and Irad Ortiz are in red-hot form for good measure.

Chouchou De Boo could be overpriced in stall one after finishing second here last time out.

6.45

ALGODONAL has drawn the ideal inside draw and can make the most of it under her excellent rider. She saves her best for this course and distance and has been hammering at the door this season. She has plenty of early speed and can get out in front.

Too Much War was impressive enough when winning over this trip last time. This is a higher class but there’s every chance she can step forward again on her second run after a long break. The booking of Luis Saez catches the eye.

Sand Drift is back from three months off but looked capable of winning at this level before that and won’t be far away.

7.16

POSEIDONS PRINCESS is an interesting newcomer who has been working very strongly at the track in recent days. She is bred to sprint and should be ready to go. Impression Given is a threat after finishing third here latest but the draw hasn’t been kind.

7.47

EAGLES PLACE improved for switching to this turf track when fourth last time out. He was coming back from a long break there so was entitled to need the run. He still clocked a good time and should improve on this fourth career start.

8.57

LOUIE’S KINGDOM is taking a major drop in class on this debut for new connections. He’s held his own in a higher level, including when winning over this trip at Hawthorne in Chicago last year. This trip suits and his trainer does well with horses coming back from a break.

Cat Gone Quick had three lengths in hand when scoring here last time and can handle this hike in grade.

9.29

SOCIAL PARANOIA looks the one to beat on this bid for a hat-trick of wins. This is a decent contest but he has placed form at Grade 1 level and is unbeaten on this turf track. His latest success came in a Grade 3 over the dead mile and this slightly longer trip holds no fears.

War Of Will won the Preakness last year but has been in and out since. He has been unlucky with the stall 12 draw but is clearly a class act and was last seen in the Breeders’ Cup Classic no less. He may need this comeback from six months off.

Todd Pletcher runs Halladay as well as the tip and he took a big step forward when winning last time, making him a danger.

Admission Office should be happier over this distance after not lasting 1m3f last time out.

10.00

BATTLE OF BLENHEIM should put up a good fight after going down in a head-bobbing finish last time out. This drop back to the dead mile looks a wise move as it’s his favourite distance and he’s used to running in a much higher grade than this.

Counter Offer should have a say from the inside stall. He just ran out of juice over slightly further last time and should find this company more to his liking.

Shootin The Breeze was entitled to need his last run when finishing fourth. He was back from a long break there and should be much fitter for this challenge. This trip is right up his street.

Sublime Appeal is another who lacked stamina when defeated last time out. He may try to go from the front here was sent off at 1-2 for a similar race here last time but found that much hotter contest a bit beyond him.

He may not have enjoyed the seven-furlong trip either after scorching home over this distance on debut. He comes from the track’s top team and looks hard to beat back in this class.

R Mercedes Boy was a good second at this level latest and has clocked some decent times.

11.02
